Novera Ahmed (March 29, 1939 – May 6, 2015) was a Bangladeshi sculptor and a pioneer of modern sculpture in Bangladesh. She is regarded as the first modern sculptor from the country in the 20th century. Ahmed lived in Paris for nearly 45 years until her death. In recognition of her significant contributions to the field of sculpture, the Government of Bangladesh honored her with the Ekushey Padak in 1997.
