Ntshukumo 'Ntshuks' Bonga, born on October 1, 1963, in Johannesburg, is a British jazz musician of South African descent, renowned for his skills on the saxophone. He moved to London in 1970, where he learned guitar and violin in school while also teaching himself clarinet and saxophone. He played with notable groups such as Maggie Nicols and Louis Moholo's band Exiles, and formed the trio Silapha. Bonga later established his own ensembles, including the Trio Tshisa and the Septet Tokolosho, contributing significantly to the jazz scene.
