Nvard Avetis Parnassian (January 7, 1930 - March 21, 1990) was an Armenian Soviet linguist. He was born in Yerevan, USSR, and became a Doctor of Philological Sciences in 1972, later being named a professor in 1981. Parnassian contributed significantly to the field of linguistics during his academic career, making a lasting impact on language studies in the Armenian community and beyond.
