Obidkhon Sobitkhony, born Obid Nazarov on January 15, 1958, in Namangan, Uzbekistan, is an Uzbek imam and dissident. He was wanted by Uzbekistan and Interpol from 1999 to 2011 for various offenses, including terrorism. In 2006, he became a UN quota refugee and changed his name to Obidkhon Sobitkhony while relocating to Sweden. He has since resided in Strömsund, Jämtland, where he survived an assassination attempt on February 23, 2012, and was reported to be still unconscious as of August 2012.
