Octavian Andronic was a Romanian journalist and caricaturist, born on May 2, 1946. He graduated from the University of Bucharest in 1969 and worked for twenty years at the newspaper Informația Bucureștiului. In 1989, he founded Libertatea and served as its editor-in-chief until 1998. He led the project of Informația de prânz at MediaPro and was deputy general director of Tele7abc from 2000 to 2001. In 2002, he established the Amos News agency. He was married to Mariana Andronic and passed away in Bucharest.
