Octavio Rivas Solís was a surgeon and specialist in psychosomatic medicine and sports psychology. He worked for Club Universidad Nacional (UNAM) for three decades, during which the football team achieved its first championship titles. He served as a psychologist for the UNAM Pumas and the Mexican national football team for many years. He was born in Mexico City on July 8, 1935, and was a founding member of the Transformación Trascendente group. Dr. Rivas passed away on December 10, 2015, after several weeks of hospitalization.
