He began his career as a journalist trainee at Vårt Land and later managed the Oslo office for Dagen before becoming editor of Folkets Framtid. After the newspaper closed in 2005, he worked as a property manager at Blå Kors until retirement. In retirement, he has served as a pastor and remained politically active, contributing to local politics.
