Odette Sorensen was a French novelist born on April 7, 1903, in Fomperron and died on December 1, 1999, in Paris. She was of French and Danish descent and received the Grand Prix de littérature policière in 1949 for her fifth novel, 'La Parole est au mort'. This work was published under the pseudonym O. Sorensen, which she had used for her first four novels. Additionally, she authored numerous youth detective novels between 1960 and 1978, mainly for Hachette's 'Bibliothèque verte' series.
