Okazaki Bunji (July 7, 1914 - July 23, 1998) was a Japanese engineer known for his significant contributions to computing. In 1956, while working at Fuji Photo Film, he developed Japan's first domestically produced computer, 'FUJIC', primarily on his own. After retiring from Fuji Photo Film, he joined NEC (Nippon Electric Company) and later became the first professor in the Information Management Department at Senshu University, which was established to begin information education.
