Ola Jostein Guldseth was a Norwegian electrical engineer and politician born on April 24, 1933, in Selbu and passed away on September 2, 2018. He grew up on a farm in Selbu and graduated in engineering from NTH in 1960. Guldseth became a chief engineer and technical director at NTE in Steinkjer. He participated in local politics as a member of Steinkjer municipal council and Nord-Trøndelag county council. He was engaged in the 1994 EU membership referendum advocating for Norway's membership. After retiring, he returned to Selbu with his wife.
