Olimpo López Cáceres (1918-2015) was a renowned Colombian pastry chef, widely known as 'Don Olimpo'. He was the inventive mind behind the Chocoramo and Ponqué Gala, both popular treats produced by Productos Ramo. Raised in Jericó, Colombia, he learned pastry-making from his mother. López collaborated with Rafael Molano in the 1940s and joined his factory in 1968, where he created the beloved Chocoramo. The recipe for this chocolate-coated cake remains a closely guarded secret. López passed away at 97 in Mosquera, Colombia.
