Bernt Olle Ivar Blomqvist was a Swedish entrepreneur born on June 11, 1928, in Växjö and passed away on March 19, 2016. He founded the mail-order company Ellos in 1947 alongside Lars Gustafsson. Growing up in humble beginnings as the son of a divorced mother, Blomqvist began working at a grocery store and selling newspapers. Ellos was named by combining parts of the founders' names. Blomqvist purchased AB Trikåkompaniet in 1958 to expand the company, which grew from 10 to 50 employees under his leadership. In 1988, he sold Ellos to Ica.
