An entrepreneur from Norrköping, he was initially part of the Moderate Party, later joining the Sweden Democrats. Felten was elected to parliament in the 2014 general election but left the Sweden Democrats in 2018 for Alternative for Sweden. His departure was marked by controversy due to alleged ties with extremists, leading to his expulsion and subsequent term as an independent.
