Omar Akhmetelashvili is a Georgian biologist and neurophysiologist, born on April 14, 1942, in Tbilisi, Georgian SSR, USSR. He holds a doctorate in biological sciences and is a full academician of the Georgian Academy of Sciences. From 2010 to 2020, he served as a full professor at the Faculty of Medicine at Caucasus International University, and from 2020 onwards, he has been a professor at the Faculty of Medicine at European University. He is also involved in the organizational committees of various republican, union, and international conferences.
