Onik Stepani Panikian, more commonly known as Onik Zarmuni, was an Armenian poet, philosopher, prose writer, translator, and one of the founders of the National Ideology of Ethnic Nationalism. He was a close ally of Garegin Nzhdeh and one of the leaders of the Nationalist Movement. Panikian was a member of the Union of Soviet Writers starting from 1946. His contributions to literature and philosophy have been significant in the context of the Armenian national identity.
