Oran K. Gragson was an American businessman and politician who served as the longest-serving mayor of Las Vegas from 1959 to 1975. A member of the Republican Party, he ran on a reform platform aimed at combating police corruption and promoting equal opportunity across socio-economic and racial lines. Gragson played a key role in the construction of the US 95 freeway. He passed away due to a heart attack in 2002 and was buried in Las Vegas. His legacy continues through his grandson, a real estate developer, and great-grandson, a NASCAR driver.
