Orest Klympush is a Ukrainian engineer, politician, and diplomat, born on 14 February 1941 in Körösmező, Máramaros County. He graduated from the Kyiv Automobile and Highway Institute in 1964 and later obtained a doctorate in 1970. Before serving as the Minister of Transportation from 1987 to 1992, Klympush was the director of a ministerial research institute focused on automotive transportation. He is the son of Dmytro Klympush, a prominent leader in the Carpathian Sich formations during Carpatho-Ukraine's history.
