Orfi is the artistic alias of Bulgarian illusionist Vasil Stefanov Nikolaev, born on June 1, 1943, in Silistra. He played a pivotal role in modern Bulgarian illusion art during the early 1960s and was a key organizer of Bulgaria's first international magic festival. Known for his performance 'Death's Distraction', he won a silver medal at the FISM World Championship in 1982, becoming the first Bulgarian to receive this honor. He also served as the head of Bulgarian circuses and was the president of the Bulgarian Society of Magicians. He passed away at age 56 in Sofia.
