Orhan Asena was born in 1922 in Amed. He attended primary and secondary school in Amed, later graduating from the Faculty of Medicine in Istanbul in 1945. Asena began writing poetry and stories as a child and drew attention with his play 'God, Man, and Gilgamesh'. His work 'Gilgamesh' has been translated into multiple languages, including French, English, German, Russian, Spanish, and Italian. He has produced around 50 works, and the Ministry of Culture of Turkey published his work on January 27, 1965.
