Niels Orla Nørberg (1903-2000) was a Danish officer who rose through military ranks, achieving the title of generalmajor by 1959. Over his career, he served in various capacities, including as chief of NATO's Northern European Joint Defense Forces and as chief of the Western Denmark Command until his retirement in 1968. Nørberg was also active in education, teaching at officers' school, and held leadership roles in various organizations, including Rotary. He married Grete Metz in 1934 and was involved in several committees related to terrain sports and youth exchange.
