Orlando José Avendaño Linares is a Venezuelan journalist, columnist, and writer, born on December 6, 1994, in Valencia, Venezuela. He served as the editor-in-chief of the international media outlet PanAm Post until September 27, 2020. Avendaño co-founded and was co-editor-in-chief of El American, a right-wing Hispanic media outlet in the United States, later sold to Voz Media, where he currently works as a senior editor and columnist. In April 2024, he faced persecution from the Venezuelan government under Nicolás Maduro, leading to allegations against him.
