Orlando C. Troxel Jr. (February 15, 1908 – June 3, 1984) was a Major General in the U.S. Army, best known for commanding the 1st Cavalry Division. He graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1931 and served in various capacities during World War II, including as G3 for the 4th Infantry Division during the Normandy landings. Troxel held various senior positions, including commander of Army Training Commands and served in Korea. He lived in Virginia until his death from cancer and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
