Orvar Kristoffer Sæther was a Norwegian teacher known for his role as Chief of Staff in the Hird and as the leader of the Nazified Norwegian Teachers' Association during the German occupation of Norway. A member of the National Samling since its inception in 1933, he attempted to Nazi-fy the teaching profession, leading to the failed forced membership of teachers which sparked a teacher strike in 1942. He was later convicted of treason and sentenced to 18 years of forced labor in 1948, released from Sem prison in 1951.
