Orzion Bartana is an Israeli author, poet, essayist, professor, and literary researcher born on May 12, 1949, in Tel Aviv. His research focuses on the relationship between literature and philosophy in both Hebrew and world literature. He has served as dean and head of the literature department at Ariel University and is the editor of the journal 'Heritage of Israel.' Bartana was the chairman of the Hebrew Writers Association and president of PAN in Israel. He also held the position of chairman of the council for public libraries in the Ministry of Culture and Sport.
