Oscar Borisovich Feltsman was a Soviet composer and musician, born on February 18, 1921, in Odessa. He created hundreds of Russian songs and folk melodies. Feltsman began studying music at age five and composed his first piece, 'Autumn', at six. He graduated from Stolyarski School in 1939 and studied at the Moscow Conservatory. During World War II, he served as the secretary of the Siberian Composers' Union. He passed away on February 4, 2013, in Moscow, and is buried at the Novodevichy Cemetery.
