Otto Bezloja was a Czech bassist and singer, born on July 4, 1945, in Prague. He co-founded the band The Matadors in 1965. After the band disbanded following their engagement in the musical Hair in West Germany, he remained in Germany permanently. He later played in the jazz-rock group Emergency and in the band Gold. Eventually, he transitioned to becoming a DJ and gained prominence in the 1980s, working in the Munich club Why Not and helping to establish new nightclubs.
