Otto Helge Francker was a Danish conductor and composer, born on May 7, 1921, and passed away on August 22, 1988. He served as a conductor at the Apolloteatret in Copenhagen and later worked as a conductor in radio. He collaborated with Sejr Volmer-Sørensen to create the melody for 'Dansevise,' which won the Melodi Grand Prix in London in 1963. This song is included in Denmark's cultural canon. Some of his other known compositions are 'Solskinsvise,' 'Snakker med mig selv,' 'Livets gang,' 'Penge,' and 'Den gamle gartner.'
