Otto Herman Frankild is a Danish modernist architect born on February 15, 1918, in Kongens Lyngby. After completing his education at Teknisk Skole and Kunstakademiets Arkitektskole, he established his architectural practice in 1939. Frankild won numerous architectural competitions in the 1940s and 1950s, notably contributing to the development of Copenhagen. His most recognized work is the elegant Hotel Imperial, although he left the project before its completion. In 1960, he relocated to Mallorca, where he led a quieter life and occasionally worked as a draftsman and painter.
