Born on January 19, 1901, in Jaffa, he spent time in Paris as a correspondent for various Israeli newspapers. He was an art and culture critic, and a prominent figure in Tel Aviv's cultural scene. Kessary founded 'Ha-Olam Ha-Zeh' in 1937 and was known for his interest in French culture. He received notable awards, including the Sokolov Prize for journalism in 1960. Kessary passed away on January 10, 1979.
