Ove Joanson, born on September 18, 1947, in Gävle, is a Swedish journalist and media executive. He completed his student exam in 1966 and studied at Uppsala University and the World Press Institute. Joanson worked at Sveriges Radio from 1969 to 1984, serving as a journalist and correspondent. He became head of Riksradion and later vice CEO of Sveriges Radio AB, eventually serving as CEO from 1991 to 1996. After working as a cultural attaché, he was appointed chairman of Sveriges Radio in 2005 and continues to engage in media consultancy and board roles.
