Ove Pauli Mikkelsen (1920-1995) was a Faroese seaman, businessman, and politician. Born and raised in Vágur, he qualified as a mate in 1942 and a skipper in 1958. During World War II, he served in the Royal Air Force in the UK. After the war, he entered business, becoming the managing director of Suðurfisk, established in the late 1960s. Mikkelsen was elected to the Lagtinget representing Suðuroy from 1970-1978 and 1980-1984, and he was the granduncle of politician Sjúrður Skaale.
