Overton 'Ovie' Alston (1905–1989) was an American jazz trumpeter, vocalist, and bandleader. He played with Bill Brown and His Brownies in 1928 and became known for his time with Claude Hopkins from 1931 to 1936. Afterward, he led his own band, performing in various prominent venues. During WWII, he toured with his band for the armed forces, later returning to perform in major hotels. His sidemen included notable musicians such as Bobby Sands and Edmond Hall, and in his later years, he focused on private concerts.
