Ratu Ovini Bokini Ratu (1944–2009) was a prominent Fijian chief and political leader, known for holding the title of Tui Tavua. He succeeded Ratu Epeli Ganilau as Chairman of the Great Council of Chiefs in 2004 and was re-elected in 2005. The Council played a significant role in Fiji's political structure, acting as an electoral college for the President and advising the government on policy matters. Bokini's leadership was cut short in 2007 when all members, including himself, were suspended by the Interim Prime Minister amid political tensions.
