Owl Fisher, born Ugl Stefanía Kristjönudóttir Jónsdóttir on January 6, 1991, in Húnavatnshreppur, Iceland, is a prominent journalist, filmmaker, writer, and trans activist. She publicly came out as transgender in 2010 and became one of the youngest individuals to undergo medical gender transition in Iceland. A founder of HIN - Hinsegin Norðurland, she is currently the president of Trans Iceland and has contributed significantly to trans rights legislation. Fisher has also co-directed the film project My Genderation and has been an active voice in various media outlets advocating for trans representation.
