Øystein Olav Skogrand (1958-2014) was a Norwegian lawyer and former attorney known for his work in criminal law. He gained acclaim for reopening several sexual offense cases, successfully exonerating eight individuals, including the first-ever retrial after an incest conviction in Norway. He also served as a defense attorney in high-profile cases, including the Bjugn case and the police killings in Austbø. In 2004, he was sentenced to prison for embezzling client funds, after which he reached a settlement in a malpractice lawsuit and continued his career as a legal advisor and speaker.
