Özdemir Yiğit was a Turkish diplomat born on March 2, 1928, in Vize, Kırklareli. He graduated from Ankara University's Faculty of Political Sciences in 1949. He held various positions including Counselor at the Embassy in Copenhagen, Deputy Secretary-General of Foreign Affairs, and Secretary-General of the Ministry from July 1979 to August 1980. He also served as an ambassador in Libya, East Germany, Denmark, and Switzerland, and was a member of the Foreign Policy Advisory Board. He passed away on August 10, 1995, in Istanbul.
