Professor Percival Albert Sheppard was a prominent British meteorologist who served at Imperial College, London from 1952 until 1974, later becoming an emeritus professor. Educated at the University of Bristol, he contributed significantly to the study of atmospheric electricity and boundary layer meteorology. He played a key role during WWII by training weather forecasters and advancing meteorological education post-war. Sheppard was recognized as a Fellow of the Royal Society and received the CBE for his contributions. He was born in 1907 in Box, Wiltshire, and passed away in 1977.
