Born on 22 September 1928, he significantly contributed to Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu music. His excellence earned him prestigious awards like the Kannada Rajyotsava Prashasti and the Tamil Kalaimamani Award. The Sri Kala Sudha Telugu Association of Chennai honored his legacy by instituting the P. B. Sreenivas Mahapurush Award for veteran singers. He passed away on 14 April 2013.
