P.K. Abdul Khadir was a prominent political figure who represented the Kodungallur constituency in the Second Kerala Legislative Assembly as a member of the Indian National Congress. He was also a member of the Thirukoji Legislative Assembly and served as the president of the Erriyat Panchayat for many years. Khadir switched to CPI(M) in 1971 and was assassinated shortly after while being targeted by Congress goons during a confrontation. His political journey began with student protests during the Quit India Movement in 1942.
