P. Radhakrishnan is a veteran Indian space scientist, author, and speaker who served as the Deputy Director of Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). He was one of the few trainees selected for the STS-61-I (Challenger) mission in 1986 as a Payload Specialist. Unfortunately, the mission was cancelled following the Challenger disaster. Alongside him was N.C. Bhat, another Indian space scientist, trained by NASA for this mission.
