Palacholla Venkata Rangayya Naidu, born on April 6, 1933, is an Indian politician and retired IPS officer. He served as Deputy Minister for Communications and Minister of State for Power and Water Resources from 1991 to 1996. A member of the Indian National Congress, he represented Khammam in the 10th Lok Sabha. He was the first IPS officer from East Godavari district and was honored with the Indian Police Medal twice. In 2022, he released his autobiography, A Youth Quest-Elite Force to National Politics. He played a notable role in resettlement policies for major projects.
