Pablo Aníbal Jurado Moreno is an Ecuadorian journalist and politician born on February 6, 1961, in Ibarra, Imbabura. He has served as the prefect of Imbabura from 2014 to 2023 and as the mayor of Ibarra from 2005 to 2009. Jurado began his career as a sports journalist and later became an editorialist. He entered politics in 1981 and has held several positions, including municipal relations chief and vice-mayor. Elected prefect in 2014, he focused on provincial road improvements and irrigation projects, securing reelection in 2019.
