Packiam Arokiaswamy (February 20, 1921 – May 22, 2003) was a significant figure in the Catholic Church as an Archbishop and Bishop. He was ordained a priest on December 12, 1946. Appointed as the Bishop of Ootacamund by Pope Paul VI on January 16, 1971, Arokiaswamy was consecrated on March 19. He became the Archbishop of Bangalore on December 6, 1971, and later served as the Bishop of Tanjore from September 12, 1986, until his retirement was accepted on June 28, 1997.
