Patrick 'Packie' Duignan (1922–1992) was a notable Irish flute player from County Roscommon, recognized for his contributions to traditional Irish music. Influenced by John McKenna, he began his musical journey on the Clarke's whistle and played with the céilí band Shannon Star from 1958 to 1973. Duignan recorded an album titled 'Traditional Music from County Leitrim' with fiddler Séamus Horan in 1978 and made numerous media appearances. Known for his humor, he died from leukemia, choosing a dignified path at the end of his life, buried with his flute in Arigna.
