Francisco Rubiales Calvo, known as Paco Malgesto, was a pioneering Mexican announcer and presenter. Born on February 22, 1914, he significantly influenced the early days of Mexican television. He was married twice; his first marriage to Guillermina Peñaloza produced actress Cristina Rubiales, and his second marriage was to singer and actress Flor Silvestre, with whom he had two children: translator Francisco Rubiales and actress Marcela Rubiales. Paco Malgesto passed away on June 22, 1978.
