Patricia Margaret Kitchen (1934–2005) was an English novelist, biographer, and art critic. She grew up in Great Missenden and worked in advertising before pursuing a writing career. Married to painter Frank Bowling, she later married writer Dulan Barber. Kitchen wrote novels and biographies, including works on Patrick Geddes and Gerard Manley Hopkins. She lived in Barnwell, Northamptonshire, which inspired one of her books. Kitchen was known for her correspondence with novelist Bessie Head, discussing various topics until Head's death in 1986.
