Currently a researcher and professor at the Spanish National Research Council in Madrid, she has taught at various universities, including in the USA. Notable works include her first book published at 19, a play titled 'La informante,' the novel 'El rapto del Santo Grial,' and award-winning titles like 'El sueño de Venecia' and 'La tierra fertil.' She was elected a member of the Royal Spanish Academy in 2021.
