Danny Finley, known as Panama Red, was an American musician and songwriter who gained fame as part of Kinky Friedman and The Texas Jewboys. Born in 1945, he enlisted in the Army and later developed a music career that included collaborations with prominent artists. He was also known for his solo performances and recorded albums. After a hiatus in the 1980s to study and work in different fields, Finley returned to music in the 1990s. He passed away in 2021, leaving behind a legacy in the Americana music scene.
