Pancheti Koteswaram (1915-1997) was a distinguished Indian meteorologist, hydrologist, and atmospheric physicist. He served as the Director-General of Observatories for the Government of India and held professorships at several universities, including the University of Chicago and the University of Miami. Koteswaram was also involved with the National Hurricane Research Laboratory and the National Centre for Atmospheric Research. He was a former vice-president of the World Meteorological Organization and an elected Fellow of various scientific academies, greatly contributing to the field of science.
