Sebastião Thomaz de Aquino, known as Paraíba, was a Brazilian footballer born on January 20, 1931, who became prominent as a forward for clubs such as Santa Cruz and São Paulo. He made a significant impact with 105 goals at Santa Cruz and won titles including the 1955 Small Club World Cup. Following his retirement, he served as a civil guard and became a victim of a bombing at Guararapes International Airport in 1966, which cost him a leg. He passed away on May 29, 2017.
